Web Development and Design

I graduated from Sessions College in January, 2019 in the Graphic Design Certificate Program. I am self taught HTML and CSS and am currently learning the ins and outs of Bootstrap. Good web design is where form and function meet and I am always learning new techniques and growing as a designer to serve my clients better.

After retiring from the Royal Canadian Air Force as a cook, I was looking for a fulfilling career that I could retrain in that would be challenging but also fun. Even while working in kitchens I always found myself with a web project to work on. A little website here for a friend or a blog there for a family member, it was a hobby that I really loved. I am incredibly fortunate that I was able to turn that long time hobby into a full time career and OakTree Designs was born. I was working on a project for a family friend when I realized that all the web design I had ever done was because of a lack of affordable services, especially for small businesses.

We are a young company but with years of experience. We know how to help small businesses because we are one. OakTree Designs has a different take on web design and online business services. Check out our website to see some of the projects we’ve had the pleasure to work on.

We are so excited to be part of this project and hope to be able to lend a hand and help Nova Scotian small businesses grow.
